Foster Care

CSSW offers foster care for children who have been separated from their birth families for reasons of abuse and/or neglect. CSSW licenses foster families to provide a safe, loving temporary home until the child can be reunified with their birth family.

To Get Started

Contact our Foster Care program at 734-926-4645 for answers to questions about the foster care process, what it takes to become a foster parent through CSSW and the next information meeting. Our agency works with families from Washtenaw and surrounding counties.

Information meetings are held via Zoom on the first and third Wednesday of each month to provide an overview of the foster care program. We encourage you to attend if you are considering becoming a foster parent as an avenue to build your family. There are no fees associated with becoming licensed for foster care.
