Keeley Ford, Lead Forensic Interviewer with CCWC’s Washtenaw Child Advocacy Center, is deeply inspired by the bravery of the children she interviews, whose courage has a profound impact on our community. The Washtenaw Child Advocacy Center (WCAC) is a child-focused program of Catholic Charities, where the county prosecutor’s office, local law enforcement agencies, mental health professionals, medical professionals, and victim advocates work together to conduct forensic interviews and make team decisions about the investigation, treatment, and prosecution of child sexual abuse, child physical abuse, and child witnesses to violence cases. WCAC helps minimize trauma to children and families by offering crisis intervention services, coordinated case management, and emotional support as cases go through the legal system.
