As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we have the obligation to provide essential services to our clients. We have the privilege of assisting those in need by providing critical programs such as Behavioral Health Therapy, Family and Children Services, and Senior Services, but we cannot do it without your ongoing support.
We have two mission critical programs that need additional funding due to growing need and 2020 state funding cuts – Food Pantry and Pregnancy Counseling.
- The Food Pantry distributes groceries and personal care items to low-income families and individuals; typically, between 500 and 700 people are served monthly. We anticipate that the economic impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) is likely to increase food insecurity in our community. Closures of business and schools will affect lower-income families and people with hourly wages.
- Pregnancy Counseling provides comprehensive services to help pregnant clients and parents explore options for parenting, or if interested, an adoption plan. All services, from counseling and one-on-one parenting education to long-term support, are offered at no charge from licensed Master of Social Work counselors.
The financial needs of the agency always surpass the funding available to administer these vital services. I ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with us this Lenten season – especially during this worldwide pandemic – to ensure that those who seek our services can continue to receive the compassionate care that we strive to provide.
