This model demonstrates, in abbreviated form, ways communities can act to support battered women and children, and hold batters accountable for their behavior. It is not a definitive representation. This model primarily identifies heterosexual males as Perpetrators of domestic violence (DV), as they comprise 95% of the batterers in this country.
