CSSW offers foster care for children who have been separated from their birth families for reasons of abuse and/or neglect. Through the family-to-family approach, CSSW licenses foster families to provide a safe, loving temporary home until the child is able to be reunified with their birth family.

To Get Started:
Contact our Foster Care Program at 734.971.9781 ext. 448 for answers to questions about the foster care process and what it takes to become a foster parent through CSSW. Our agency works with families from multiple counties in Michigan, including: Branch; Calhoun; Genesee; Hillsdale; Jackson; Lenawee; Livingston; Macomb; Monroe; Oakland; Washtenaw; or Wayne.
An information meeting is held on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, at our Packard location, to provide an overview of the foster care program. We encourage you to attend if you are considering becoming a foster parent as an avenue to build your family. Please submit your registration here, if you would like to learn more at our next information meeting.
There are no fees associated with becoming licensed for foster care.
