Supervised Parenting/Exchange

Description:

Supervised Parenting/Exchange facilitates positive interaction between parents and children in a safe setting that respects the rights and dignity of every family member.
  • Supervised Parenting is the visitation by non-custodial parents with one or more of their children observed by a program staff person at the Catholic Social Services office.

  • Supervised Exchange is the supervision of the exchange of children from one parent to the other. Following the exchange, the visiting parent leaves to spend time with his/her children unsupervised.

To Get Started:

Families participate primarily on a referral basis. Before entering the program, both parents are required to schedule separate intake interviews. Please call 734.926.0158 to schedule an interview. For more information, please refer to our Supervised Parenting brochure
