Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers

Description:

The program utilizes trained volunteers who provide respite assistance for families caring full-time for a homebound older adult. Volunteers visit with the chronically ill family member two to four hours per week offering relief and personal support for caregivers.



To Get Started:

Families who need respite services should call 734.712.3625 for an initial telephone screening and to schedule an in-home assessment. To be eligible, either the caregiver or homebound family member must be age 60 or older. Those interested in volunteering may call for further information.


Cost:

No charge. Donations welcomed.
