Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers
The program utilizes trained volunteers who provide respite assistance for families caring full-time for a homebound older adult. Volunteers visit with the chronically ill family member two to four hours per week offering relief and personal support for caregivers.
Families who need respite services should call 734.712.3625 for an initial telephone screening and to schedule an in-home assessment. To be eligible, either the caregiver or homebound family member must be age 60 or older. Those interested in volunteering may call for further information.
